----- I think using the model itself to conduct the presentation is a great idea.

In Phase 2, Demonstration, rather than work through an example of designing a lesson, have a lesson that was already prepared to show (push out as a link or download to everyone's desktop). This might be better due to the time limit factor.

Everything else looks great!! (I think...)

Would it be helpful to do our presentation in the four phase model? The problem our lesson would be centered on is the design of good instruction. The components of the task would be creating a learning experience that represents each of the four phases.

i.e.
Phase 1: Activation: Ask them what they remember from Gagne's 9 events of instruction
Then show the four phases and ask them where they match up.
Phase 2: Demonstration: Talk about the four phases and why it was developed then work through an example of how you would design a lesson
Phase 3: Application: Have them work in groups to create a lesson using the model based on some topic we give them (using the job aid) - This would be our activity like the one you suggested, Greg and Denise on page 70.
Phase 4: Integration: Have one or two groups share their response and have the class decide whether they accurately represented the model like in a discussion.

Just a thought
